Here are some recent examples:

  • Twinn Witness simulation modelling was used in the University of Cambridge’s 2021 research into AI-driven environmental sustainability in container port terminals, published in the International Journal of Production Research.
  • We supported the University of Sheffield as part of the FEMM hub (Future of Electrical Machines Manufacturing), using Twinn discrete event simulation to predict and prevent faults in the coil-winging process in electrical machine manufacturing.
  • Twinn Witness was used by a final year student to create a simulation model in a University of Leeds investigation into the Boeing supply chain – validating predictive simulation as a useful tool for supply chain analysis. This included code creation of the model.
  • We worked with the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre and the University of Leeds to demonstrate the value of simulation in visualising the impact of early design decisions on a modular housing supply network.
