Royal HaskoningDHV awarded Platinum rating by EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability assessments

The rating places us in the top 1% of the 130,000 companies assessed by EcoVadis – and reflects the quality of our company's sustainability management system and commitment to promoting transparency throughout the value chain.

The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Across all four themes, Royal HaskoningDHV received full scores (100/100) for its ‘actions and measures’.

Particular praise was awarded for our explicit assessment of the sustainability performance of our projects, and their alignment with our purpose Enhancing Society Together – our Purpose Matrix shows how projects score against five Enhancing Society Together themes, from biodiversity and natural systems to social value and equality. Also well-recognised was our integration of sustainability research and analysis to guide decision-making.

Elsewhere, we were praised for communicating our progress towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), for ‘exceptional’ policy on major environmental issues and ‘comprehensive’ policy on a majority of labor or human rights issues.

We are incredibly proud to receive a Platinum rating from EcoVadis – after eight years of achieving their Gold rating.

EcoVadis’ business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The ratings provide an evidenced-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.
