More about my start

“I already knew Royal HaskoningDHV from the past. The country I am coming from, Brazil, makes use of the water technology product line ‘Nereda’, developed by Royal HaskoningDHV, in several wastewater treatment plants. After assessing my experiences and expertise, and exploring my job opportunities, I knew the role of Business Developer & Project Manager for international projects suited me well because of my exact sciences, social sciences and finance background. I am part of a small team of business developers and project managers dedicated to understanding how we can support public and private clients in global leading markets meet their needs and overcome water- and climate change-related adversities. In this role, I think of the right solutions for our clients’ challenges from multiple perspectives – such as technical, social, environmental, financial, economic and political – and coordinate our own experts and partners to deliver these solutions. Having direct access to thousands of highly qualified in-house experts is vital for our team to deliver the impact we aim for.’’

Making impact from Colombia to the Phillipines

“My personal and professional mission is to realise big changes in terms of water, sanitation and resilience in developing countries. In the 1,5 years I have been working at Royal HaskoningDHV, I have already worked on actual projects in Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Philippines, Vietnam, and others. In addition to our own specialists, we always engage local partners and experts in our projects, blending global best practices to local knowledge to drive positive impact in the different contexts we operate. I am grateful I have purpose in my work at Royal HaskoningDHV.’’

Personal and professional goals

“One of the things I like the most here is that I can develop both personally and professionally at the organisation. At the start of every year, I set goals for this in coordination with my manager. It is not just about my function in the organisation, but also about me as a person. That shows me that the company looks to their employees as human beings, which greatly motivates me to work here. The company understands that for me to perform to my full potential, I need personal development and work-life balance!’’

A warm and friendly atmosphere

The team is very warm and friendly, with impressive communication capability. This helps us co-create our proposals and deliver our projects in a harmonious way. We care and watch after each other, offering the hand one may need to conclude their work smoothly.’’
