Before joining our organisation, Hassan was Head of Commercial at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, the world's most significant offshore wind test, validation and research assets. “Working somewhere at the forefront of technology and supply chain growth & innovation was fantastic. I’ve worked with energy developers, OEMs and the supply chain for nearly 20 years (I feel old just saying that), working in senior sales roles with global geotechnical and survey service companies like Fugro and CGG. Before that, I worked for a group of companies, including Masood John Brown providing total solutions to owners and operators of gas-fired and combined-cycle power plants. So the energy sector is part of my DNA.”
“I started here in January 2022, so I’m relatively new compared to some of the long-serving experts I’ve met since starting. One thing that I’ve noticed, people like working here. It’s a great place to work, and if you have a passion for renewables and positively impacting the world around you, then it’s perfect.”
With our expertise, experience and talented and knowledgeable people, we are uniquely positioned to enhance society together, now and in the future. We live our purpose; that’s what we do together every day. “One of the first criteria in a go/no-go decision is ‘does it meet our corporate mission of enhancing society?’. As an employee-owned company, there is no compromise on integrity and core values. Which I value.”
In his role, it is Hassan’s role to drive growth across a broader range of services from feasibility, Consent, FEED to owners engineering and more. “We are using the United Kingdom as a springboard. Not only because of the sector’s maturity here but also our position in it since we have been the leading development support consultancy for around 20 years now. Leveraging this credibility and track record in the United Kingdom, I’m also working closely and supporting our global teams in Europe and APAC.”
“20 years as the market leader in lead EIA and consenting consultancy means we are really well known in the offshore wind sector, and our EIA and consents solutions track record is second to none. However, we offer far more than our well-known EIA solutions. We combine 140 years of maritime engineering experience (it’s actually the biggest maritime engineering team in the world) with over 30 years of wind energy engineering experience, along with predictive digital simulation; we are ideally equipped to support our clients to accelerate and industrialise offshore wind. All of this exists right now and is in one place.”
To face the challenges, we’ve built a strong team in the past years and keep building. “We’ve been building around our existing capabilities and strengthened our offshore wind engineering team by recruiting some highly qualified offshore wind engineering leads across structures, electrical, cable installation, transport and installation and QSHE. These discipline leads bring over 60 years of combined Offshore Wind experience managing engineering packages on some of the largest Offshore Wind farms in the world. I’m blown away by the strength and depth of the team. We now have an integrated multidisciplinary Offshore wind team to support projects across the entire life cycle, all in one place.”
Then a role within the world of renewable energy and decarbonisation of industry might be a perfect fit for you!
